Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Research Associate I / II to join the R&D group focusing on developing new blood diagnostics tests. The new team member will collaborate with the R&D team to design, execute, and interpret experiments and keep the laboratory operations running smoothly.



·        Design and execute experiments to support the development and optimization of blood tests (clinical chemistry and immunoassay-based tests principles)

·        Research, plan, execute, analyze, and document assay development activities with superb attention to detail; keep a detailed and up-to-date laboratory notebook and summarize work in regular presentations

·        Contribute to fundamental scientific strategy to enable robust product development

·        Communicate results and challenges with colleagues and R&D management in a timely manner

·        Prepare laboratory documents such as SOPs, Quality Control methods, and forms

·        Perform tasks to keep the laboratory running smoothly: track and order supplies, work with vendors, prepare and stock common reagents

·        Maintain laboratory equipment: organize, document, service, calibrate, and repair as necessary



·        Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry/Life Sciences with 1+ year of industry experience preferred

·        Hands-on experience with assay development, particularly enzyme and immunoassay techniques

·        Experience with ordering, stocking, and reagent preparation is a must 

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; must be organized and efficient

·        Experience with data analysis tools (Prism, Excel); experience with advance statistical analysis and DoE is strongly desired

·        Effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; excellent time management skills

·        Able to excel in a collaborative, team-oriented, fast-paced, and evolving start up environment; able to manage competing priorities and multitask

·        Superb attention to detail; produce work of exceptional quality and accuracy
