The The Product Development and Test Engineering group develops test solutions for design verification of leading-edge technologies and highly integrated radio frequency transceivers, power management, analog and mixed signal ASICs designed by Qualcomm. We work with Design, System, Foundry, Program Management, Yield, Reliability, Marketing, Sales and Manufacturing teams to create, commercialize and support Qualcomms products. Product Engineer Job responsibilities for this position include characterization plan development, first silicon debug, multiple-source fab matching, device characterization at ATE and bench, data analysis for device performance and functional compliance, product documentation/presentation, test limit (guard band) generation; driving failure analysis to completion, yield variance control.
Qualified candidates should display strong skills/knowledge with 0-4 years experience in the following: - Solid understanding of electronics engineering fundamentals, digital, analog, mixed-signal, power management and RF circuit analysis techniques. - Analog and power management measurements and ability to work with common bench test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, power supplies, etc) - Strong verbal and written communications skills. Able to organize effectively and document work thoroughly while working with local and remote teams. - Able to make data based decisions (data analysis driving to issue closure). - Experienced in delivering technical presentations to different technical audiences. - Able to work independently and with good initiative to overcome technical challenges. - Value teamwork and being flexible and able to work well in dynamic situation. Familiarity in the following is desirable: - Working knowledge of Analog and Power Management IC (PMIC) measurement techniques such as line/load regulation, PSRR, transition time, regulator efficiency, jitter, gain, SNDR, etc.) - Expertise in LabView or hands on experience with Teradyne IFlex/UFlex ATE is a plus. - Knowledge of semiconductor device physics, wafer fab processes and operations, and failure analysis technologies including their applications and limitations to debug silicon yield problems and identify failure mechanisms. -Direct experience analyzing fab process, electrical test, ATE, and bench to characterize product performance, process windows, and yield loss components, and drive resolution as part of a fabless or fab product or process team. -Knowledge and hands on experience with statistical analysis software package and techniques, quality and reliability testing. Wafer fabrication fundamentals are a plus. -Working experience with statistics including ANOVA, Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control.
